OTIMIZAÇÃO DE VIGAS EM CONCRETO ARMADO: PROPOSIÇÃO DE EQUAÇÃO PARA PRÉ-DIMENSIONAMENTO
Abstract
This paper deals with the optimization of reinforced concrete beams, focusing on proposing an equation for the pre-design of beams through optimization and the use of linear regression. The research aims to improve efficiency in the design of beams, considering various parameters. To this end, the entire process for the design of rectangular sections with single and double reinforcement was initially studied, followed by the conditions for checking excessive deformation in beams. An electronic spreadsheet was used to implement the optimization, and linear regression was carried out using a database created with the optimization results. The proposed equations offer a practical tool for design engineers, allowing them to estimate the ideal height of beams in an optimized way, saving time and resources during the design phase. In addition, the importance of validating the solutions obtained using this equation is emphasized, guaranteeing safety and structural adequacy. This study contributes to the advancement of structural design practice, promoting efficiency in the design of reinforced concrete beams.
