ROLL-ON ROLL-OFF MODE OPERATIONS IN THE SEA MODE
PROKNOW-C OF WORLDWIDE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION
Abstract
The impacts of Roll-on/Roll-off (Roro) in the supply chain have been little discussed in the literature. Because there are few studies, there is lack of ownership in the area, since there are studies on the stowage plan of a Roro ship, but there is no research to clarify the potential of the operation as the supply chain. This research aims to analyze the impacts that Roro operations imply in the supply chain and aims to identify in the literature a bibliographic portfolio relevant and aligned to the theme. The Proknow-C methodology was used for the selection and bibliometric analysis of the articles. Among the results are: (i) a BP composed of 17 articles aligned with the theme and with evidence of scientific recognition; (ii) Transportation Research; Maritime Policy and Management and Transportation Research Record as the most prominent in the subject; (iii) Kjetil Fagerholt, with 5 articles in the sample; (iv); the keywords most commonly found in BP articles are "Maritime Transportation" and "Fleet Deployment", followed by the terms "Ro-Ro" and "Shipping". The results obtained contribute to new studies related to the theme and offer a replicable process for its updating.
