Abstract

Water, a vital element for human existence, plays a fundamental role not only in survival, but also in various daily activities and in maintaining environmental balance. This work focuses on the efficient management of water consumption in homes, with special attention to calculating water demand. The analysis is based on a multi-family building located in Irati, PR, addressing the forecasting of non-potable consumption and exploring the potential of rainwater use. The results obtained not only highlight the feasibility of the sustainable use of non-potable water, but also emphasize the importance of conscious strategies for the preservation of this essential resource, thus contributing to a more balanced and sustainable panorama.
