Abstract

The innovation of civil construction technologies has made construction methods more modern and faster over time. Among all the advances that have occurred since the Second World War, prefabrication was one of the construction methods that stood out the most, however, because it is a method that requires specialized labor and greater quality control, there is still little use. in small works. The object of this study is to compare the cost and execution time between the structure of a residential work cast in loco and prefabricated. This comparison was carried out using an already executed project of a residence with a structure in reinforced concrete cast in loco, involving it in prefabricated concrete and analyzing and comparing the budget and execution time of both. As a result, an approximately 7% higher budget value was obtained, but a time of approximately 78% less in the prefabricated structure, showing a good cost-effectiveness of the system for medium-sized works.
