SEIS SIGMA E CONCRETO TECNOLÓGICO DE CONCRETO USINADO
UM ESTUDO DE CASO EM UMA EMPRESA CEARENSE
Resumen
The underdevelopment of management processes, the low quality of the final product and the failure to comply with technical standards, is one of the most striking characteristics of the Civil Construction Industry (ICC), thus making it difficult to develop activities that require strict administration. In this context, the realization of the Technological Control of Concrete (CTC) represents a challenge to this macro sector, since the different stages and agents involved in the process demand a strict control of the performed actions, aiming at the reliability of the obtained results. Thus, the present work aimed to analyze the application of the Six Sigma methodology to CTC, as a way of increasing the rigor in operations and reducing variations in the process. To this end, a case study was carried out with a company from Fortaleza-CE, mapping the activities inherent to the CTC and analyzing them from the perspective of the Six Sigma methodology. Such analysis allowed the identification of points of possible variations, thus enabling the use of control tools. Thus, it was possible to identify the root causes of the variations in the process, allowing the proposition of improvements in the way the activities are developed by the company under analysis. Furthermore, it is concluded that the application of the Six Sigma methodology to the CTC allows a rigid control of the operations, increasing the managers' domain over the activities, reducing the variations in the processes. It was also concluded that the application of the Six Sigma methodology can be expanded to other activities that require strict management, such as aggregate control, as the performance of the concrete depends substantially on its constituents.
