Violência Contra as Mulheres no Contexto da Pandemia de Covid­19 no Norte do Brasil: Notas Sobre a Geografia Feminista

Abstract

This essay aims to outline the phenomenon of violence against women during the Covid-19 pandemic in the states that make up Northern Brazil. Based on the theoretical contributions of feminist geography and intersectionality, and on the socio-historical and cultural aspects that help to compose the studied scenario. A bibliographical research was carried out on websites, official bulletins and scientific works, and from the results and discussions developed, there was a lack of information, denouncing the silencing of northern women, which has particularities according to space, culture and descriptors of race, class and gender, which were accentuated by the changes brought by the pandemic.
