Abstract

We start from the assumption that theorizations about the production of urban space in Geography have hidden gender issues and women's daily struggles in and for the city. We aim to identify the strategies that women create and develop in their daily lives to overcome some situations and carry out their daily activities. From a methodological point of view, we mainly used qualitative instruments, interviews with semi-structured scripts with women who work inside and outside the home, study and are responsible for a large part of domestic tasks and responsibilities. Although difficulties exist, mainly linked to excessive work, strategies are outlined daily by the women researched so that they can exercise their multiple social roles and have access to different spaces and positions in the city, forming, in a relative way, paradoxical spaces, of transformation, on a daily basis.
