Abstract

With so many rules to prohibit the expression of the body, it is natural that we have arrived to our days immersed in prejudices and taboos about different experiences, present in our daily lives. Thus, this research proposes an investigative look at the narratives and representations of tattoos found in criminals in Rio de Janeiro, based on police magazines that circulated in the period.
