Abstract: The dynamics established between objectivity and subjectivity in scientific approaches to the religious phenomenon are discussed here. It is based on the intention of reflecting on the changes in current paradigms and on the use of new empirical methodologies. This diligence is situated in the decolonial perspective. A bibliographic dimensioning is carried out to recompose the epistemological trajectory of religion studies.
