Abstract: This study aims to consider Afro-Brazilian literature by female authors as a source for the construction of historical learning. The text will address theoretical and methodological conceptions, contributions from the Annales School movement, questions about the literary source in consonance with the field of Historical Education, black protagonism and nonconformity in the writing of history.
