This article sought to analyze the listening process in hearings involving adolescents in conflict with the law, in order to understand how they exercised a right guaranteed by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent: the right to be heard by a competent authority in the process of investigating an infraction. It aimed to understand how, in exercising their right to participation, these adolescents had agency in relation to adults, influencing decisions and acting according to what they wished to happen for their futures.
