História e Linguagens: Uma leitura de Laranja Mecânica

Abstract

Resumo: Na tentativa de repensar os problemas existentes em torno das discussões entre Linguagens e Historiografia, neste artigo analisa-se, sob uma perspectiva foucaultiana, proposta no livro Vigiar e Punir (1975), a narrativa ficcional Laranja Mecânica (1962), de Anthony Burgess, e a sua adaptação (1971) para o cinema, dirigida por Stanley Kubrick. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é identificar as aproximações e diferenças entre essas formas de discurso, as quais compartilham uma temática semelhante: os mecanismos de vigilância e punição.

Resumén: En la tentativa de reflexionar los problemas existentes en las discusiones de Lenguajes y Historiografia, en este artículo se investiga, bajo una lectura foucaultiana desde el libro Vigiar e Punir (1975), la novela Laranja Mecânica (1962), de Anthony Burgess, y su adaptación (1971) para el cinema, hecha por Stanley Kubrick. El intento del trabajo es identificar las aproximaciones y diferencias entre los discursos, que comparten un tema: los mecanismos de vigilancia y punición.

Abstract: Attempting to rethink the problems surrounding the discussions about  Historiography and Languages, this article review, under a foucaultian perspective proposed in the book Vigiar e Punir (1975), the fictional narrative Laranja Mecânica (1962), by Anthony Burgess, and its film adaptation (1971), directed by Stanley Kubrick. Thus, the objective of this work is to identify the similarities and differences between those discursive forms, which share a similar theme: the mechanisms of surveillance and punishment.
