The study analyzed the implementation of public social protection policies in the monitoring of adolescents and their families in the municipality of Itabira/MG. It is a qualitative, exploratory-analytical study based on documentary analysis of CREAS records from 2025. Of the 579 records in the GESUAS system, six met the criteria for analysis. The results indicated that although Social Assistance is formally structured, there are weaknesses in technical records, limitations in the articulation between basic and special protection, and shortcomings in territorial policy implementation. The findings highlight the need to improve socio-assistance practices, fostering family protagonism and more balanced family relationships.https://orcid.org/0009-0002-2098-2489
