Being the death a taboo subject in the western society, a research was conducted with a focus group, based in the historical-cultural Psychology, aiming at understanding the role of storytelling about life and death in mediation with elderly people. Results showed that the storytelling of The Duck, the Death and the Tulip (Erlbruch, 2008) expanded the meaning of death, including the perspective of death in life.
