From the identity trap to performative alliances

towards a coalitional political struggle

Abstract

The article addresses the issue of identity and identitarianism within the realm of political struggle based on and guided by representativity. We start by examining the problematics of identitarianism as a means through which individuals organize their actions in contemporary political collectivities, considering the central ideas of Haider (2019) and Butler (2018a, 2018b). The research aims to understand why identity becomes a problematic marker for the success of social groups' achievements.

    Mestre em Psicologia pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (2018 - 2020). Linha de Pesquisa: Saúde, clínica e práticas psicológicas. Graduado em Psicologia pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2010-2017). Atua com atendimento psicoterapêutico desde 2017. Realiza pesquisas em Psicanálise - sobretudo no que se refere à Clínica, Saúde Mental e a intersecção entre Psicanálise, Política e Teoria Social. Realizou pesquisas acadêmicas relacionadas à Psicopatologia, Precariedade e Vulnerabilidade social e racionalidade neoliberal. Também possui interesse por temas nas áreas de Filosofia, Ética e Sociedade.
