The objective is to analyze the guidelines of the Delfim Moreira Professional School for so-called “destitute” childhood in Pouso Alegre/MG, between 1917 and 1947. Based on iconographic records and local press sources, the study examines how vocational education was structured as an instrument of social assistance and social control. It argues that the institution operated as a disciplinary device, articulating technical training, Christian morality, and productive integration.
