The research seeks to analyze the state of environmental conservation of the natural pools of Boqueirão do Piauí and, based on this, propose conservation measures. The preliminary visits to the study area were the first stage of the work, followed by bibliographic research, analysis of the state of conservation and the proposal of conservation measures. The field visits allowed the identification of degradation in the natural pools, motivating the elaboration of this study and the proposition of measures for the preservation of the study area, such as: installation of sign, creation of programs for planning, management, dissemination and practices aimed at environmental education as direct strategies; and conducting field classes for elementary school students I and II, producing educational brochures, lectures and workshops that highlight the potential of natural pools, as well as educational games based on the BNCC, the latter being indirect measures.

Mestranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGGEO) pela Universidade Federal do Piauí - UFPI (Biênio 2023-2025), atualmente Bolsista pela Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Piauí (FAPEPI) - regime dedicação exclusiva -, possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena em Geografia pela Universidade Estadual do Piauí (UESPI (2017-2022)) - Campus Clóvis Moura/Teresina-PI e Ex-residente do Programa Residência Pedagógica Subprojeto Geografia pela Universidade Estadual do Piauí (Edição 2020-2022). Participa como pesquisadora no grupo de pesquisa Geodiversidade, Geopatrimônio e Geoconservação - GEOCON - da UFPI, com cadastro na plataforma do Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa (CNPQ), atuando na linha de pesquisa Estudos Regionais e Geombientais, principalmente nos seguintes temas: Geodiversidade, Estratégias de Geoconservação do Geopatrimônio Piauiense, Ensino de Geografia Física e Geografia Ambiental. Tem experiência na área de acompanhamento pedagógico na educação infantil e ensino fundamental I e II.

Possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena Em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Piauí (1999), mestrado em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2002) e doutorado em Geografia pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2010). Atualmente é professora Associada III da Universidade Federal do Piauí, onde atua na pesquisa e no ensino de graduação e pós-graduação (Programa de Pós-Graduação de Geografia da UFPI), em disciplinas e temas relacionados à Geografia Física. É lider do Grupo de Pesquisa Geodiversidade, Patrimônio Geomorfológico e Geoconservação (GEOCON). Coordena juntamente com o professor Dr. Gustavo Souza Valladares o Grupo de Pesquisa GEOGRAFIA FÍSICA. Tem experiência na área de Geografia física, com ênfase em Análise Ambiental. Tem interesse nos temas: Geografia Física (Geodiversidade, Geopatrimônio, Bacia hidrográfica, Desertificação, planejamento ambiental, problemática ambiental, dentre outros), Ensino de Geografia Física e Geografia, ambiente e turismo.
