Aging is a physiological and inevitable process that leads to a decline in functional capacities. Regular physical exercise is a modifiable factor capable of mitigating these declines and preserving physical and mental functions. This study reports the experience of the “UFS Mais Viver” extension project at the Federal University of Sergipe, aimed at promoting the health of older women from São Cristóvão and Aracaju. Over 16 weeks, free interventions were offered, including Functional Training, Brain Functional Training, and Traditional Chinese Practices. Physical performance, quality of life, and depression levels were assessed before and after the interventions. A total of 88 women participated in all stages. The results indicated improvements in quality of life, reduced depressive symptoms, and maintenance of mobility, along with high satisfaction and adherence. These findings highlight the benefits of regular physical exercise for promoting health and quality of life in older women.
