STATISTICS AS AN ELEMENT OF PROOF IN STRUCTURAL PROCESSES
Abstract
Structural proceedings have been gaining increasing prominence in the Brazilian legal landscape, and with them, their various peculiarities have begun to emerge. Among the many characteristics inherent in structural civil proceedings, this study has dedicated itself to unraveling the use of statistics as evidence in structural proceedings. To achieve this end, bibliographic research was used as a methodology, especially on works that reported real cases of structural lawsuits in Brazil and Latin America. As a conclusion, it is verified that statistical evidence is of paramount importance for the instruction, development, and success of decisions in structural litigation.
