The bois-bumbás of Parintins: cultural and pedogical f[r]estas

Abstract
This study analyzes the transformations in the perspective of a researcher and celebrant of the Bumba-Meu-Boi festivals, reflecting on the connections between culture, education, and the individuals who possess the knowledge and skills of Parintins. The proposal, or provocation, arises from an initial contact in 2005 with the artists of the Bumba-Meu-Boi festivals during the Rio Carnival, as a judge in the 2022 festival, as a spectator in 2023, and currently as a university professor. In the methodological approach, I utilize my interpretations and experiences in the sharing among the knowledge-making subjects of Parintins culture. Similarly, I draw on other theoretical frameworks that support the understanding of how temporal festivities reveal phenomenological layers. Therefore, this communication opens fields for new reflections, analyses, and developments in understanding how subjects and objects relate in the festivities in Amazonas and other territories.
