Abstract

This article presents and analyzes how managerialism has intensified in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, through the implementation of predictive artificial intelligence (AI) systems in the school environment. It is a critical qualitative study, based on documentary and bibliographic research, which examines the data from the perspective of managerialism and uses content categories based on Kuenzer (1998). The study shows that AI has been used as a tool for educational management in São Paulo, aimed at storing and analyzing data on intelligent digital platforms, particularly SuperBI, implemented by the Department of Education especially between 2023 and 2025. These platforms are used to control, monitor, and increase the performativity of education professionals, with a focus on achieving the quantitative results projected in external assessments and indexes, taken as benchmarks of teaching quality.
