Abstract

This work presents the application and development of the Fuzzy Simple Additive Weighting (FSAW) method, which has as its approach a quantitative multicriteria analysis and, through the Fuzzy Theory, a qualitative criteria approach. The project in question presents a case study in the company, a producer of audiovisual content entertainment and journalism that, as a result of this productive process has the need to transport the materials stored in its facilities to external locations, using for this transport providers of freight that are chosen based only on the cost criterion. With the case study, it was possible to practice and validate the applicability of the mathematical model. To do so, it was necessary to determine with the company the evaluation criteria and their relevance to the business. The result obtained through the application of the FSAW method showed the best option of a road freight forwarder that in the presented study was denominated "Transportadora 5", presenting the score of 0.797, surpassing all the other options defined. In addition, the method has been applied according to the context defined by the company in question and can therefore serve as a basis for the decision-making process.
