Abstract

With the current technological advances of three-dimensional modeling software and cameras that can photograph underwater, the use of photogrammetry has become more accessible for acquiring information in an aquatic environment. Underwater photogrammetry follows the basic principles of terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry, in the creation of 3D models through the use of 2D photographs, with a diversity of areas that can be granted due to the use of the techniques. However, water contains different particularities from air, mainly in relation to the propagation of light in the medium and suspended particles that affect visibility, being necessary research for improvement and greater understanding. This article presents a methodology for the reconstruction of submerged objects in a swimming pool, using the GoPRO digital camera, the aid of GNSS and topographic surveys to georeference the submerged support points and the ContextCapture software for 3D modeling. The result of the three-dimensional model of the imaged objects presented expected results for a photogrammetric analysis, being possible to dimension and evaluate the quality of the processed object.
