THE USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF TEACHING STRATEGIES ON CIVIL ENGINEERING COURSE
Abstract
Abstract: The most used strategies and procedures applied to engineering education still follow the model of traditional education based on the presence of the teacher holding the knowledge and the passive receiver. However, educational profile has been inefficient in face of the student’s current needs and the society demands. In this sense, analyzing teaching in civil engineering requires in-depth reflection, since it is a complex relationship that understanding of reality, in the face of the broad organizational relations of University Education and the needs assimilation of knowledge. For this, one must take into account the great evolution of technologies applied to teaching and learning, verifying the benefits and their contribution to student development. In this scenario, it becomes fundamental to study and make teachers aware of the importance use of technology in teaching civil engineering students, aiming at its effective qualification for the market. Aiming to analyze and list alternatives that satisfy the current needs of teaching, this study carried out an analysis of the civil engineering students perceptions, with an emphasis on the teaching-learning methods of the course at a University located in the Cacoal/RO city. Noted that the educator plays a relevant role in the mediation of knowledge and prioritized the academic interaction and the abilities development. Also realized that there are several tools that can be apply to teaching in civil engineering course, providing benefits to students.
