USO DO BIOGÁS E BIOMETANO: UMA REVISÃO SOBRE O AMBIENTE REGULATÓRIO NO BRASIL

Abstract

The search for alternatives to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and the great concern with the emission of pollutants reinforce the importance of the production of energy of sustainable origin, as is the case of biogas and biomethane. In this scenario, Brazil and the Brazilian states have been developing legislation and legal mechanisms to encourage the insertion of this type of energy into the Brazilian energy matrix. The present study addresses a brief review of the current situation of legal mechanisms regarding the production and use of biogas and biomethane in the country; highlighting the Brazilian states that have already started the processes of insertion of legislation for the production of sustainable energy. In this way, the country is linking its legislation so that one can guarantee the conscious use of bioenergy seeking a sustainable alternative.
