Abstract

This article is intended to contribute to the discussions of gender issues in the teaching of Geography in Elementary Education. To this end, it brings back moments related to curricular studies, done between 2014 and 2016 in an educational system, as a fundamental element for the contact with the proposed theme. It also discusses the presence of gender relations in school, in several aspects, which justify the pertinence of the studies then developed, resulting in an approximation to its treatment in the teaching of Geography.
