Since the late 1970s, the LGBTQIAPN+ population in Brazil has been fighting for greater visibility in guaranteeing and extending civil rights through political institutions promoting equity and respect. The main objective is to analyze the distribution and variety of institutions promoting civil rights for this group, considering the spatial diversity resulting from the country's federal structure. Using quantitative methodology, the concept of institutional density was analyzed from a geographical perspective and expressed through cartographic representation, tables, and graphs. States in the North region and Mato Grosso showed low institutional density, suggesting areas that require more attention to strengthen existing institutions and create new institutions for civil society participation.
