Migrantes da pandemia. A cobertura midiática webjornalística do Sertão piauiense dos que fogem da COVID-19

Abstract

Among the many devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil is the counter-migratory flow, notably towards the Desert of the Northeast region. Webjournalistic media coverage of this phenomenon is studied in the Desert of the Piauí´s State. There is a triple discrimination (for being economically affected, for being discriminated against by media and for being responsible for bringing the disease to their homelands) of those who flee the great centers of the effects of the corona virus disease. A case and content study is carried out in order to show, reflect, analyze and punctuate the phenomenon in which the blaming of migrants has been much more mediatized than the public policies that can help to combat this disease.
