The proposal assumes of the importance of using literature in class, not only in Portuguese, but also in English, when it enables interdisciplinary dynamics and can make learning more practical, while students are able to grasp the meaning of a literary text originally written in English. The article also proposes reflection on literary reader training actions in a context in which literature occupies a smaller space in the scope of subjects, which is Elementary Education.
