PERFORMANCES DE ALTO RISCO: PRÁTICAS POLÍTICAS DA ANTIGÜIDADE E DO BRASIL DE 1954

A performance tem sido utilizada desde a antiguidade para atingir os mais diversos objetivos. Este ensaio dedica-se ao estudo de narrativas literárias de performances como prática política. Pretendemos analisar as estratégias e recursos de que se serviram os ‘atores’ e escolhemos como casos emblemáticos as narrativas literárias de Ester, Sólon e da morte de Getúlio Vargas, para nós exemplos de performance que só ocorreram mediante a entrega e o risco.

Performance has been used since antiquity in order to achieve several objectives. This essay presents an analyses of literary texts about performance as political praxis. We intend to examine estrategies and resources that served the ‘actors’ in their performances and therefore we chose as emblematic cases Ester, Solon and Getulio Vargas. They were examples of well suceeded performances, although they meant, in a way, a self sacrifice.
