THE BASIC EDUCATION HISTORY TEXTBOOK AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LAW 10.639/2003
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyze the participation of black people in the History of Basic Education book and how Law 10.639 / 2003 has influenced the renewal of discourse about this subject. To develop this work, the most requested collection by Brazilian schools was chosen through the National Textbook Program, in its latest edition for High School, History. These editions were analyzed in their texts, images and contents, in a comparison between the two. It is known that no textbook is naive, but represents ideologies to be taught in schools (Bittencourt, 2009). As a result, there has been little change from one edition to another, as well as much of the European ideology to be predominant in the content and approach of its different subjects, although there is also an effort by publishers to conform to the laws required by PNLD.
