Thinking out of the cistem
a reflection about genderqueer language
Abstract
This paper reflects on a new form of language applied in the Portuguese language in which a binary gender is not exclusively marked, in contrast to the practices used in the discourses to refer to the subjects. Therefore, the Portuguese pronouns may not represent the subjects who do not identify with the gender binarism that the grammar presents. When commenting on language, I make use of this mark during the writing of this work when I analyze the discourses about a conversation with non-binary people.
