INSTRUÇÃO EXPLÍCITA NA SALA DE AULA DE L2: UMA DISCUSSÃO SOBRE ATENÇÃO E PROCESSAMENTO DE L2 À LUZ DA TEORIA DOS SISTEMAS DINÂMICOS COMPLEXOS (TSDC)
Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the model of L2 attention and processing proposed by Leow (2015) in the light of Complex Dynamic Systems Theory. As we consider the complexity of language development, the five processing stages proposed in Leow (2015) lead to a discussion regarding different methods on data analysis and L2 pedagogy. With regard to the experimental methodology, the need for individual and longitudinal analyses of data is highlighted. As for L2 pedagogy, the need to provide learners with the formal aspects of the L2 in conjunction with an effective exposure to the L2 input is emphasized.
