Este artigo, destacando os 30 anos de publicação do livro Bagagem, de Adélia Prado, traça um roteiro que procura esboçar o caminho percorrido pela autora, desde a infância até o lançamento de sua primeira obra, na descoberta deslumbrada da poesia e na longa e persistente busca de sua própria dicção artística. A madura conquista do verbo poético se manifesta finalmente na publicação de seu livro inaugural, Bagagem, em 1976, obra que já nascia previamente avalizada pelo poeta maior, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, em crônica publicada no Jornal do Brasil no ano anterior, e que se tornaria uma marco na poesia brasileira contemporânea.

Enhancing the 30 years of the publishing of the book Bagagem (Luggage), by Adélia Prado, this article traces a script that tries to outline the path accomplished by the author, since her childhood until the launching of her first book, in her fascinating discovery of the poetry and in her long and persistent search for her own artistic style. The mature conquest of the poetic eloquence is finally manifested on the publication of her first book, Bagagem, in 1976, a work that has come out endorsed by the great poet, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, in a chronicle published in Jornal do Brasil the previous year, something that turned out to be a landmark in the contemporary Brazilian poetry.
