POLICARPO QUARESMA: DO FIM TRISTE AO PRÊMIO

Numa leitura continuada do enredo de Triste Fim de Policarpo Quaresma é possível observar a construção paulatina de uma crítica contundente à noção de pátria, nos ensinando que esta não passa de uma elaboração simbólica fundada pela exclusão que, quando olhada desapaixonadamente, revela uma considerável descontinuidade, tanto no que diz respeito à configuração do próprio território, quanto ao caráter, costumes e práticas das pessoas que nele habitam. Neste ensaio, tal debate circulará, em clave teórica, pelos escritos de estudiosos como Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, Benedict Anderson e Edward Said.

Dans une lecture continué de la trame de Triste Fim de Policarpo Quaresma c’est possible d’observer la construction progressive d’une critique puissante à la notion de patrie, dans l’enseignement que celle-ci ne passe pas d’une élaboration symbolique établie par l’exclusion qui, quand regardée impartialement, révèle une considérable discontinuité sur le qui concerne la configuration du territoire lui-même, autant que au caractère, à habitudes et à pratiques dês habitants. Dans cet essai, tel débat circulerá, em clef théorique, par les écrits des studieux comme Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, Benedict Anderson et Edward Said.
