Abstract

The main objective was to analyze how the construction of the image of the black princess takes place in the short story “Uma História Mais ou menos parecida” (2013), by Márcia Paschoallin. The study of the work was carried out through a qualitative perspective and was based on studies about intertextuality, the imagination about the princess, the relationship between the imaginary and illustrated book and an approach to the body and hair of the black person as identity elements. It can be observed that the narrative in question brings a princess whose figure is constituted from traits of the black biotype, as well as a plot that contributes to an appreciation of black aesthetics, that is, to the exaltation of the typical traits of black people.
