READING AND WRITING IN THE INTERFACE WITH TEACHING THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE: ANALYSIS IN STRICTO SENSU PRODUCTIONS
Abstract
The research aimed to analyze productions of stricto sensu programs on reading and writing in the Database of Theses and Dissertations in the period from 2010 to 2020. The research is characterized by a qualitative approach, and was sought to answer to the following question: What does research in master’s and doctoral programs evidence on reading and writing? The search was carried out through the descriptors: reading practice; academic writing; Languages professional. The study is based on a literature review as a structuring base for the production of the state of knowledge. The analysis revealed the recurrence on the structure of school life due to the lack of habit or skills with reading; the need to invest in the training of readers and adequate preparation to get into higher education; the conflict with the diversity of texts and difficulties in writing; the disadvantage of students to the detriment of the regional context. Given the evidenced results, it is expected that new studies on the subject will be carried out with other biases and objectives.
