El auto de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, el Auto Brasileño de Navidad, no solo incluye una mirada crítica a lo social, lo moral y lo cultural, sino que también se inserta en la tradición del auto religioso, readaptando sus recursos y su finalidad didáctica. Mensaje múltiple que desde el propio medio de comunicación que le sirve de vehículo, busca rescatar, por un lado, un discurso literario que se presenta como diferente al del periodismo, y por otro, princípios cristianos de paz y convivencia.

Carlos Drummond de Andrade´s auto, the Auto Brasileño de Navidad, includes not only a critical approach on social, moral and cultural fields, but is also inserts itself in the tradition of the religious auto, readapting its resources and its didactical purpose. It is a multiple message that, by the same communicational medium adopted as a vehicle, wants to recover on the one hand a literary speech that appears different from the journalistic one, and the other hand, Christian principles like peace and communion (harmony, coexistence).
