GÊNEROS DO DISCURSO E LEITURA

Neste trabalho focaliza-se o ensino e aprendizado da língua portuguesa com base nos gêneros do discurso; mais especificamente, aborda-se a leitura considerando os fundamentos e conteúdos sugeridos na Proposta Curricular de Santa Catarina (1998). A reflexão centra-se na produção de leitura a partir dos gêneros e pontua a análise e avaliação de problemas de interpretação detectados em estudantes brasileiros no Relatório PISA 2000. Apresenta-se, por último, uma amostra de como a leitura pode ser mediada na escola.

This work focuses on the teaching and learning of the Portuguese language based upon discourse genres; more specifically, it approaches reading by taking into account the foundations and contents suggested in the ¨Proposta Curricular de Santa Catarina¨ (1998) – in terms of genres. The discussion perpasses the analysis and evaluation of interpretation problems detected in Brazilian students within the PISA 2000 Report. Finally, a sample is given in order to show how reading can be mediated in school.
