Este texto discute alguns efeitos no Brasil da polêmica entre Georg Lukács e Walter Benjamin. Nascida no interior do marxismo internacional, esta polêmica dividiu a teoria marxista sobre a história em duas teorias distintas: as épocas históricas (de Lukács) e as épocas cósmicas (de Benjamin).

This text discusses some effects in Brazil of the controversy between Georg Lukács and Walter Benjamin. Raised inside international Marxism; this controversy divided the Marxist theory on history into two diferent theories: the historic epoch (Lukács) and the cosmic epochs (Benjamin).
