O meu depoimento não pretende ser um estudo sobre o modernismo nem sobre as revistas modernistas, apesar de esse ser o tema do colóquio no qual foi apresentado. Escrevo enquanto descendente de um dos “de Orpheu”, mais precisamente neta de António Ferro, editor dos dois números publicados e, também, como curadora e conhecedora do seu espólio documental e bibliográfico. Este texto incide sobre os primeiros anos da vida de António Ferro pois acredito que as suas primeiras vivências o influenciaram enquanto adulto, republicano, jornalista, escritor, modernista, comunicador, homem de cultura e apoiante de Salazar.
