Abstract

The important contribution of qualitative research to the area of Administration and Business is based on Grounded Theory (GT), especially for its differentiated ability to generate theories. To ensure such theoretical-empirical contribution, the use of this approach leads to high standards of transparency and quality in the publications of studies. This qualitative investigation is based on a bibliographic survey and selection of 20 articles found among the best international journals analyzed according to the criteria and recommendations of the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR). As a result, the articles adhere to the SRQR standards in the items related to the methodological approach, sampling strategy, data collection methods, unit of study and data analysis. In contrast, there was a lack of identification of the research paradigm, of the characteristics of the researcher that can affect the study, and on ethical issues related to human beings.
