This study aims to verify the effects of foot reflexology massage on functionality, foot sensitivity and fear of falling in older women. The project “Foot Reflexology Massage in Older Women” was linked to the Institutional Program of Extension Scholarships (PIBEX, Portuguese acronym). Thirty four community-dwelling older women participated in the study, 15 in Control Group (CG) and 19 in Massage Group (MG). The MG received 45 massage session minutes per week, during 8 weeks. The CG received the massage after 8 weeks. The participants were assessed before and after 8 weeks regarding the foot sensitivity, fear of falling, gait speed and functional mobility. After 8 weeks of foot reflexology massage, there was no significant change in functionality, sensitivity and fear of falling in community-dwelling older women.
