Abstract

This paper presents the results of a research about the outreach project Circle Pampa – Circle Dances in the Pampa, developed at the Federal University of the Pampa. The aim of the study was to verify if the experience of circle dances contribute to the professional practice of educators. The data generated from the discourse and / or the writings of ten participating-educators was analyzed according to Discursive Textual Analysis with the support of theorists who highlight the potential of circle dances in Education. Two major categories emerged from the analysis: aspects of feeling, evidenced in units of meaning such as tranquility, joy, creativity and integration; and aspects of acting, in which these feelings are transferred into personal life and the actions performed in work environments. The educators observe the benefits of circle dances in their practices in order to stimulate movement, cultivate sensitivity and integrate the school community.
