OUTREACH BEYOND THE WALLS OF THE UNIVERSITY: COLLECTIVE PRODUCTION OF AN OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE AS A POSSIBILITY OF DISSEMINATING EMOTIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The article presents an excerpt from an experience report in the outreach course: “Emotional Education and Scientific Education: creating socio-emotional competences with Open Educational Resources - OER in the subjects related to Natural Sciences”. The project was developed with undergraduate students in the Natural Sciences undergraduate course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS. The objective is to present the production of an OER of Emotional Education in the context of Science Education built by teachers during their initial professional education and to list its relevance and scope in the teaching practice The methodology consists of reports on the OER creation on the Canva graphic designer platform and the analysis of course participants’ testimonials in relation to the course. The results present the topics covered in the digital magazine and the teaching and learning skills that can be addressed in the area of natural sciences in basic education. The tool produced will be useful to disseminate the theme of Emotional Education.
