Abstract

This study presents a brief qualitative analysis of local actions carried out by the Postgraduate Program in Regional Development (PPGDR, Portuguese acronym) of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT, Portuguese acronym).  The project started in 2018 as results of teaching, research and outreach activities in Palmas, TO.  The qualitative methodology that supports this report derive from the activities of the aforementioned Program, the analysis of academic records and from academic productions based on these actions. The analyzes demonstrate that in order to strengthen and promote the theme "Agenda 2030" interrelating it to the debates about its institutionalization by the Federal University of Tocantins, more administrative and academic efforts are necessary to integrate and record the actions. It also important to implement permanent internal policies related to the theme, articulating them with essential external partnerships and wide dissemination, in order to make them public.
