THE INDISSOCIABILITY IN SOCIAL SERVICE BETWEEN TEACHING-RESEARCH-OUTREACH IN INTERLOCUTION WITH THE SOCIAL REALITY

Abstract

This paper addresses issues concerning the articulating axis represented by outreach activities that assume the fine unit existing in the structural tripod of higher education. Furthermore, within the discussion developed throughout the text, the outreach dimension is based on the potential that embodies the construction of bridges or mediations with social reality. Based on a critical theoretical perspective, the development of the problematization aimed to present discussions that unravel the relationship between outreach activities with the universe of problems and needs that everyday social life poses to the university and demands responses from it. In this sense, the reflections raised touch the importance of extension actions for the Social Work course and present considerations on the outreach action "Cycle of Debates - particularities of social policy in Brazil: struggles, advances and deviations in the implementation of social protection”, carried out by the Department of Social Services of the Federal University of Sergipe.
