Abstract

Vaccination is one of the ways of protecting, promoting, and controlling diseases. However, with regard to health professionals, several factors contribute to the incomplete vaccination schedule. For this reason, the Imuniza Escola extension project, linked to the Bachelor of Nursing course at the Federal University of Tocantins, sought to carry out health education actions, analysis of vaccination status and immunization in the units of the Blood Center of Palmas-TO, aiming to collaborate with the increase in the vaccination coverage rate among health workers. Two actions were carried out, one in May 2022 and the other in April 2023, which provided the reach of 319 doses applied and 198 professionals served. It was observed the importance of vaccination extension actions for occupational health and for the theoretical-practical development of students, in addition to narrowing the distance between teaching, service and community.
