Abstract

The first IBC Science and Technology Week was designed to promote scientific and technological dissemination, in an accessible and inclusive way, aiming to raise awareness about the contribution of basic sciences to ensuring a sustainable future. The event proposal was integrated into the National Science and Technology Week - 2023, promoted by CNPq in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Its programming, aimed at teachers and students in basic education, had the following goals: engaging the IBC internal community, extending activities to the city's school community, and ensuring accessibility to the proposed activities. Participants interacted with scientific exhibitions and cultural events. As a result, the event contributed to the dissemination of sustainable development and the promotion of the active participation of people with (visual) disabilities, not only as spectators, but also as protagonists in the planning, scientific production and execution of the event.
