This study evaluated an educational intervention that used theatre to promote healthy eating habits among primary school children. The play "Little Red Riding Hood: The Mystery of Her Magic Basket" highlighted the benefits of a diet based on natural and minimally processed foods and the risks of consuming ultra-processed foods. Nutrition students from UNIPAMPA created and presented the play to primary school children from 1st to 5th grade in the city of Itaqui/RS. After the activity, a survey showed that most students understood which foods should be part of an adequate and healthy diet. In addition, 88.5% of the students reported high satisfaction with the experience. Thus, the study concludes that theatre is an effective and interactive tool that can be used for nutrition education activities, combining art and learning, and is a tool for extension activities.
